In Matthew 24 :4-15; the Word of God talks of the tribulation time. Also Mark 13 : 5-23; and Luke 21 : 5-24. Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 “For many will come in My name, saying I am the Christ, and will deceive many, 6 “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. [(Also Rev. 6:2-4 talks about this). Revelations puts it this way:vs 2 And I looked, and behold, a white horse. And he who set on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer. 3 When He opened the second seal, I, John, head the second living creature saying, “Come and see.” 4 And another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword.]
7 “For nations will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. [(Hag. 2:22. Rev. 6:5,6). Revelation 6:5-6 puts it this way under the Third Seal: vs5 When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come and see.” And I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. 6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creaturs saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.”)].
8 “All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 “And then many will be offended, will betray one onother, and will hate one another.
11 “Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. (Also in 2 Thess. 2:3 says, “Let no man deceive you by any means : for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, the one who brings destruction. He will exalt himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the Temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
Paul goes on to explain this event or time in Thess. 5 : 5 Don’t you remember that I told you this when I was with you. 6 “And you know what is holding him back, for he can be revealed only when his time comes. 7 “For this lawlessness is already at work secretly, and it will remain secret until the one who is holding it back steps out of the way. 8 “Then the man of lawlessness will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will consume with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splender of his coming. 9 “This evil man will come to do the work of satan with counterfeit power and signs and mirracles. He will use every kind of wicked deception to fool those who are on their way to destruction because they refuse to believe the truth that would safe them. 11 So God will send great deception upon them, and they will believe all these lies. 12 Then they will be condemned for not believing the truth and for enjoying the evil they do.)
Matthew 24:13 “But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a winess to all the nations, and then the end will come. 15 “Therefore when when you see the ‘abomination of desolation’ spoken of by Daniel, the prophet, standing in the holy place” (Ref Daniel 9:23.) 16 “then let those who in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 “Let him who is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house. 18 “And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 “But woe to those who are pregnant and to those with nursing babies in those days. 20 “And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath.
At the end of all this will lead to the beginning of the Great Tribulation. In the next post will talk about it. Blessings!!
